On satellite images taken over Kazan, captured the latest Russian surveillance drone “Altius-M”. The new drone features a large range — about 10 000 km “Altius-M” can stay in the air for about 48 hours and is designed for reconnaissance and aiming of the detected targets high-precision weapons.
List of avionics of the UAV is not disclosed. It is believed that the reconnaissance configuration, the “Altius-M” is equipped with a station for optical imaging reconnaissance with opto-electronic system for gyro-stabilized platform and in the bow of the UAV will be installed radar with active phased array antenna.
For its size and weight, “Altius-M” is similar to the reconnaissance-strike drone to the US air force (USAF) MQ-9 Reaper.
