Fire on tires littered the vacant lot broke out Friday morning in the region of Castilla-La Mancha.
In Madrid evacuated about nine thousand residents that is located near a burning landfill tires area of about 100 hectares.
“Spanish officials said that nine thousand people were evacuated on Friday evening with a large apartment complex after a major fire, which has spread from landfill of tyres at the sky you can see the toxic black clouds”, – stated in the message.
As noted, about eight thousand people had already fled their homes in the suburbs of Madrid where there is a dump.
According to local authorities, for the evacuation of the government sent to the suburbs dozens of ambulances and rescue workers, also involved helicopters.
It is reported, the fire covered about one-fifth of the landfill.
As a result of a fire nobody has suffered.
According to the government, the fire occurred because of the burning tires. The smoke from the fire could be seen at a distance of over 30 km.
