In France for sale the world’s most expensive Villa of the Cedars”, the cost of which is $1 billion, reports The Times. The Villa is located on the French Riviera – the scenic southeastern Mediterranean coast.
It was built in 1870 and at one time was property of king Leopold II of Belgium.
The residence includes 10 bedrooms, a hall for receiving guests, a 50-metre swimming pool and a Botanical garden with greenhouses.
The publication reports that the Villa now belongs to the family Marnier-Lapostol, who created the liqueur Grand Marnier.
Next door is the house owned by Paul Allen, cofounder of Microsoft.
