The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin noted the role of agitators in the election campaign and thanked them for their work. The corresponding statement the mayor made his speech at the forum of supporters of “United Russia”, which took place on the evening of 18 August at the Green theatre at VDNKH.

According to Sobyanin, “not all have the courage” to participate actively in the election campaign and openly declare their position.
“There are people here who think otherwise, who think that without their active participation should not be one of the most important political events in the country,” said the mayor, stressing that those present at the forum “not only are active, but are being pushed towards their friends, neighbors, relatives, citizens.”
Working in Moscow agitators last spring trained in the framework of the project “School for agitators” including a course of lessons and workshops from representatives of the party and leading political scientists.
Elections to the state Duma will pass in the uniform voting day on September 18 according to the mixed system: 225 deputies are elected on party lists and 225 in single — mandate constituencies. At the same time will be held election campaign in 39 regional parliaments and five thousand municipal elections.
