An official announcement of the new smartphone in the Indian Freedom 251 from the company Ringing Bells from Sunny India, which, according to rumors, was supposed to cost only 7 USD with the current exchange rate. In the end, the cost of the handset was even more impressive — for it asked only four (4) of the US dollar.
251 Freedom already recognized as the most affordable smartphone in India, and all over the world too, however, its characteristics are still quite modern and can even compete with some of the “IPhones” that are much more expensive. For only four dollars you can get a full android-smartphone with IOS 5.1 Lollipop and IPS screen at 4 inches diagonally with a resolution 960h540 pixels. The structure of the apparatus also includes 1 GB of RAM and an onboard storage of 8 GB, and if you want you can self-install memory card of 32 GB. Sounds good, considering the price tag, isn’t it?
But that’s not all: Freedom 251 added GPS receiver, Bluetooth 4 and 802.11 n Wi-Fi, 4-core processor and even cameras with a resolution of 0.3 and 3.2 megapixel with battery capacity of 1450 mAh. Freedom 251 was created with the participation of the government of India, and hardly it will be possible to buy outside of this country because the authorities are pursuing one goal — to make mobile communication affordable for every citizen of India and not the world.
