Long been known for its tourism, fishing doesn’t go well. But this time the campaign was for children, the route is short, so the fishing remained. In addition, lucky with the sites: they all occurred in the interesting fishing spots.
The route starts from the road bridge over Shegultan. It is 20 km by asphalt road from the train station Ivdel’. This is a natural fear that the river will be too many tourists. But tourists we met at all, and anglers met little. Apparently, the 80-kilometer route is too short to for him a half day shake the train. And local tourists and anglers prefer the less accessible and more interesting river. Therefore, the anthropogenic load on the Shegultan and small Sosva.
Of the fish we expect to find grayling and pike. However, the unprecedented heat and therefore warm (sometimes up to 20°) water decreased the activity of grayling to nearly zero. Pike, too, at first, the dialogue was not very successful. To its confluence with the Sosva Shegultan narrow, fast, winding, full of local pits and the washed-away trees, under each of which, in principle, can stand the pike. But in the campaign, when every lure on account, to sh in such places difficult. The rate on active pike, ready to attack the bait a few meters from the shelter, did not materialize.
In Sosva the water was much colder than in Shegultan. And from grayling found himself bursts. But to catch it, alas, failed, had to move on.
From the confluence of Shegultan and to the confluence of Vagran the most interesting places, holes under rocks on the bends of the river. Within reach from the Parking lot there were two, and in each I caught the pike. And at the bottom, in addition, a few polukilogrammovy young trout (or one 2 times) and five Chebakov; if I change to spinning on a float, they probably could be used to train a lot, they are actively splashing and came to my feet with the spoon in large quantities.
Looking ahead: the dominant species in the Sosva was trout. Timesat was caught more than all the other fish (pike, Rudd, grayling, perch, Dace) combined. Timesat occupy most of the places in their absence would be standing pike, displacing the latter in uninteresting places with snags and low flow. They peck eagerly, so the bait is desirable to provide single barbless hooks.
In SOS’va just above the mouth of Vagran water temperature was 16°, and Vagran – 19. I took the time and effort in the hope of a pike to climb the Vagran 3 km, but there it was – 2 timesonce all.
Below the confluence of Vagran for some slowing in line with a lot of submerged logs (once there were salt alloy), forming on the smooth bends of the riverbed many perfect hiding places for pike. And she’s finally starting to get caught and not getting caught. I would venture to suggest that in autumn, and in summer less hot weather, the catches can be impressive. I was satisfied with three tails in a morning, one small pickerel came down, and one I myself was hit hard with the crank, demonstrating a complete lack of fishing skill.
Not without timesat. One was caught at “long-poltorashku” just above the rapids, in the language of smooth water where I was hoping to catch a grayling. And the second, larger than the others, grabbed a “long three” on the narrowing of the river among the boulders. Maybe I shouldn’t have to throw in there, but not to the mouth of the trout lives, somewhere it needs to end? And the place had such beautiful, straight reminiscent of the trophy pike…
Despite the heat, the mushrooms were caught in sufficient food quantity. Heartily enjoyed the red currant. In the last days of the campaign (3 – 5 August), partially ripe cranberries. Across the river and plenty of cherry. Well, about a fantastic landscape of rocks needless to say. In General, I recommend.
