Participation in demonstrations, protests and strikes is commonplace for the French. In recent time there are regularly held rallies and marches against the reform of labour legislation. Occasionally they end in clashes with the police, which naturally do not like the protesters.
But the results of these clashes and disgruntled guards. According to the newspaper Le Figaro, in the last two and a half months 343 police officers and gendarmes were injured. According to studies, 82 percent of respondents positively assess the work of law enforcement. This level of confidence is maintained for the past one and a half years since the terrorist attacks of January 2015 edition of the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo. Up to this point the popularity of police was kept at 65 percent.
