Security officials in the Smolensk region conducted exercises to disperse the unauthorized rally inhabitants who protested against the increase of payment for utility services. The corresponding video appeared on the Internet.
Unit for the protection of public order, squads of Riot police and SWAT held a worked joint activities on the territory of the training Center in Smolensk. According to local portal Smoldaily, the legend of the exercises, local residents received inflated bills for utility services and went on an unauthorized protest rally, which escalated into riots. According to the scenario officials of the district administration jointly with the district tried to explain the situation to residents and to call them to order, but no arguments could pacify the raging crowd. As a result, residents began to throw the authorities bottles and smoke bombs. And then the special forces scattered around the perimeter of the site the barbed wire, broke the crowd into two parts and took the activists into the ring.
The alleged instigators of the riots were taken to the police station for further investigation. Reportedly, watched the exercise high-ranking security officials, who noted the high level of training of police and even offered to present the awards to outstanding employees.
