The work of specialists was published in the renowned medical journal The Journal of the American Medical Association.
Scientists conducted a study based on the 24-year-old health surveillance 189 158 initially healthy women who practiced more than 3 night shifts in a month. In the end, they came to the conclusion that this work schedule associated with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease that causes high mortality from these causes.
It is noted that the reason for this detrimental effect is the abrupt change of biorhythms of the person. Scientists emphasize that such studies for men have not yet been conducted.
