Cheap food fast food, long working hours and a continuous barrage of information from the information sources – all of this bore down on modern man, undermining his physical and mental health, warn psychologists from the University of California, USA.

American psychologists argue that modern lifestyle is contrary to the survival instincts of the people who came to them in the process of evolution. Today, the average representative of developed countries consume about 4200 calories a day more than it needs due to the availability of cheap food. A constant flow of information becomes a stressor, depriving us of normal human communication. To obtain all this, people have to work up a sweat, and then, due to the lack of time to have fun at the expense of sleep and rest. Cell phones force us to be constantly alert, whereas before the constant availability required only from doctors, police and firefighters.

“Something or someone constantly demands our attention. It is not surprising that stress has become the companion of our lives. It is recommended that people eat less and use computers and telephones to establish their mental and physical health,” experts say. If nothing is done, in the future, mankind will suffer from stress, obesity and debt, done in the quest to satisfy their growing appetites.

In order to maintain health psychologists suggest the following. First, organize your leisure time in accordance with the values you want to instill in their children. Dine at home with family and not work 100 hours a week! Secondly, do not make impulsive purchases. Before you spend money, think about whether you need this thing. Third, watch out for the quantity and quality of food you consume. Fourth, daily for some time, switch off mobile phone and Internet: in most cases phone calls and messages are not particularly important.
