Russia became the world leader by the share of women in leadership in organizations. These are the results of the study, which was conducted by experts from Grant Thornton. Now about 45% of managerial positions in Russian companies are held by women. Note that the previous year the proportion of fair sex in the “tops” of the organizations was at 40%.
As reported IA “SeverInform” with reference to INTERFAX.RU only the proportion of women in management has increased to 24% from 22% a year earlier. Note that while a third of companies the leaders are still only men.
In Japan, women account for only 7% of leadership positions in Germany, 15% in the U.S. – more than 20%. G7 countries (22%) are far behind in this sense, from Eastern Europe (35%) and Southeast Asia (34%), notes Grant Thornton.
Let us add that these conclusions were based on more than 5.5 thousand interviews in 36 countries, which was conducted by specialists of Grant Thornton from July to December 2015. In leadership positions, the researchers include General Directors, chief operating and Finance Directors and Executive Directors and partners.
