The President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte said he intends to make alliances with Russia and China. About it reports Reuters.

According to the Philippine leader, this year he will visit Moscow and Beijing, to demonstrate the independence of the external policy of the country. As explained by Duterte, Philippines “passed the point of no return” in relations with the United States — the nature of relations between the two countries has changed irrevocably, and now he intends to strengthen cooperation with other States.

“I’m not going to sever ties with the United States, proclaimed Duterte, but we make a Alliance with China and (…) [Prime Minister Dmitry] Medvedev, he is now waiting for my visit.”

As explained by Duterte, he doesn’t care about the low ratings of the Philippine economy resulting from his erratic policies. “To hell with the ratings, I’ll open the Philippines to the Russian and the Chinese that they were our business, we will sign the trade agreement,” he said. He promised to open to foreign companies in the telecommunication and aviation sectors in which Manila has traditionally adhered to a protectionist policy.

It is unclear whether the statement Duterte to conduct joint exercises of the armed forces of the Philippines and the United States, scheduled for the first half of October. Washington is the largest foreign investor in the Philippine economy and one of the key trading partners of Manila.

He, in particular, said that will kill the traders of prohibited substances and throw their bodies into the Bay of Manila. After the election of Duterte promised the citizens medal for killing a drug dealer, and also announced the intention to restore the death penalty.

In early August, Duterte insulted the American Ambassador Philip Goldberg, whom he suspected of meddling in the internal Affairs of the country. In particular, the President said that Goldberg ” son of a bitch and a homosexual. A month later, Duterte called President Barack Obama a son of a whore.
