Red wine: 5 reasons why it is useful

Красное вино: 5 причин, почему оно полезноAlways nice when something turns out delicious at the same time is also useful.

No wonder Omar Khayyam devoted his Rubaiyat blame: praising its value, the Persian philosopher was not so far from the truth.

Scientists from Georgetown University have proven that red wine protects the body from the negative effects of fatty or sugary foods. Well, not a miracle? The fact that it contained (or even in raspberries, grape skins, blueberries, and dark chocolate) component resveratrol slows the development of diabetes and overall increases in life expectancy, that is, works essentially as a natural elixir of youth! However, not always the truth is in wine: opinions about its benefits diverge — and most interestingly, they are all true. Tell when red wine a healthy drink and when threat.

1. REDUCES THE RISK OF DEVELOPING BREAST CANCER
A paradox: the regular consumption of alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer with the exception of red wine. Its action on the body exactly the opposite (of course, in the use of drink with moderation). Researchers in the us Cedars-Sinai Medical Center found that the chemical composition of the skin of red grapes, there are elements lowering estrogen levels and increasing testosterone in women in menopause, which reduces the risk of developing breast cancer.

2. PREVENTS TOOTH DECAY
A beneficial effect of red wine is distributed not only on the heart and blood vessels: the drink has a positive effect on dental health. It turns out that under its action the bacteria of dental plaque leading to caries, not spread over the surface of the teeth, and the gums become stronger.

3. TRANSFORMS THE SKIN
Red wine is often used in cosmetics, it helps to get rid of cosmetic imperfections, improves skin tone and as a result, prevents the appearance of wrinkles. Of course, this is not a universal remedy for each skin type fits your type of wine. For example, nourish dry skin helps sweet and semi-sweet wine.

4. RAISE “GOOD” CHOLESTEROL
Scientists from Harvard have identified a pattern: dry red wine increases the level of hemoglobin in the blood and protect from accumulation of cholesterol on vascular walls. While alcoholic drink increases the amount of high density lipoprotein in the blood that produce “good” cholesterol. This means that red wine destroys atherosclerotic plaque and reduces the likelihood of coronary disease. True with one important caveat: these properties of wine are only useful when consumed in moderation.

5. IMPROVES MEMORY
Researchers from the Institute for regenerative medicine have found that resveratrol, contained in grapes and red wine, helps to maintain memory and even in combination with other measures to cope with Alzheimer’s disease and other ailments.

Summarizing all the above, it can be argued that red wine in moderation brings the body more good than harm. However, remember the flip side:

1. Wine in large quantities damages the liver — just like any other alcoholic beverage.

2. Excessive wine drinking can lead to alcoholism.

3. Wine hampers healing of the muscles. And long-term daily use in large doses causes muscle weakness and even do irreversible damage of muscle tissue.
