Judging by the pictures, the African country administrative structure was not worse than in Europe. The Portuguese colonialists in Mozambique were attracted by gold mining and ivory. The bulk of the wealth was sent to Portugal, but Mozambique’s economy has developed, built the city. On the streets you could see the trams, working telephone lines, publishers of the press.

Mozambique gained independence in 1975. From the country were expelled almost all of the Portuguese, civil war broke out. For several years Mozambique in economic development was thrown back for many decades ago. Today this country is considered one of the poorest countries on the African continent.
