The fight against corruption was discussed today in the Ministry of internal Affairs. At the enlarged session of the Ministry the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has set the task to intensify efforts to identify and punish corrupt officials.
Equally important, according to the President, to reduce the overall level of crime, though grave and especially grave crimes became less. After all, every other offense last year remained unsolved.
The head of state noted that, in the interests of public safety important sometimes tough measures. But the police themselves have to meet high requirements.
“Such films, as “Born by revolution”, “the Investigation leading experts” and their characters such as the policeman Aniskin, are the most loved characters of the people. This suggests the complexity of the work you do. And if you came on this job and had done it on purpose, it is necessary to comply with all the requirements that you have,” he said.
According to Putin, the strengthening of such work is necessary primarily “to improve the situation in the economy, to increase trust in authorities in General”.
