Putin offered to maintain the simplified tax system for small businesses

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to make the transition small businesses with simplified tax system in General smoother. For small businesses that use simplified taxation, the revenue threshold will be increased to 150 million roubles.

During the working visit, the President met with representatives of the business circles of the Orenburg region. One of the entrepreneurs told the President that his business is growing, and it ceases to fall under the criteria to use simplified taxation system. This will deprive the company of about 8% profit. So he asked about the possibility of a transition period.

“Let’s take a combined approach. For example, save the existing preferential regime up to 150 million rubles of revenue. Plus give the opportunity to the regions in such a way to handle the issue of profit tax”, — said Putin, reports RIA Novosti.

Now the simplified system of taxation may apply organizations with number of employees not more than 100 people and revenues up to 60 million rubles.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev spoke out against the “carpet bombing” of the business regulatory authorities. At the forum in Sochi, he said that required a serious reboot of the system to the business was “easier to breathe”.
