“I consider it necessary once more to emphasize that by itself, economic growth does not resume. If we don’t find new sources of growth, then GDP growth will be somewhere around the zero mark,” – said Putin.
The head of state acknowledged that in the current situation, resources that were previously moving the Russian economy forward will no longer work.
According to the President, it is necessary to ensure “the growth of the domestic economy and conduct structural reforms to improve its effectiveness”. “It is very important to maintain macroeconomic stability, to prevent the buildup of the budget deficit and acceleration of inflation,” he said.
Vladimir Putin also urged participants not to focus on theoretical concepts in relation to the economy or ideological preferences, and focus on the pragmatic side of the issue and how it is really possible to implement all ideas.
“There is no monopoly on the truth in economic discussions should not be.
