Putin and Obama insist on a special status for the LNR and the DNI.

As noted, when discussing Ukrainian topics Putin once again pointed out “the importance of strict compliance Kiev Minsk agreements of February 12, 2015, including the establishment of a real direct dialogue with Donetsk and Lugansk, the Amnesty provision of DND and LNR, the special status, the joint development of the law on local elections”.
The Russian President stressed “there is no alternative political way of settlement”.
“The necessity of activization of work on elimination of violations of the cease-fire, full implementation of the agreement on the withdrawal of heavy weapons and the breeding of the conflicting parties. In this regard, stressed the role of the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE”, – stated in the message.
Besides Ukraine, the presidents discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
