Protests in Macedonia: defeated the office of the President

The protesters broke into the building, smashed Windows, broke furniture and set fire to the room.

In the capital of Macedonia, Skopje Wednesday, April 13, thousands of people gathered to protest against the decision of President George Ivanov, who decided to grant Amnesty to participants of scandal with illegal listening.

In addition, the protesters tried to break police cordon in front of Parliament.

According to police, 12 people were detained. One journalist was injured.

The scandal with illegal listening broke out in 2015, when it was revealed that the former at that time, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and heads of the security services involved in the illegal wiretapping of about 20 thousand citizens of Macedonia, including opposition politicians and journalists.
