President Petro Poroshenko said that the Ukrainians have all the opportunity in the near future to sing the national anthem of Ukraine national anthem and football in Donetsk is yellow-blue colors. About this Poroshenko said at a farewell ceremony for the national team of Ukraine on football at EURO 2016.
The President made this statement in the context of memories about the Championship of Europe on football of 2012, when Donetsk has hosted two matches of the Ukrainian team in the group stage.
According to him, the highlight of the tournament was the time when the Donetsk sang the hymn of Ukraine, testified to the unity of the country.
“I am convinced that football plays an equally important role. And we have all the possibilities in the near future to sing a soccer anthem, Ukrainian national anthem in Donetsk is yellow-blue colors,” said Poroshenko.
Earlier, Poroshenko stated that his main goal is to return the Crimea and Donbass in a political way.
