According to him, if elected, a more lenient measure of restraint businessman Petrosyan will be able to hide and hinder the investigation. The suspect and his lawyers asked to choose a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest, citing the poor health of the mother entrepreneur, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. “I’m not a criminal, I have never broken the law, except that violations of gaishnaya. Earlier on Friday, August 26, Petrosyan was charged with committing a crime under paragraphs “g”,”g” of part 2 of article 206 of the criminal code (“Capture of hostages in respect of two or more persons with the use of the object as a weapon”).

Wednesday evening at the Citibank branch on Bolshaya Nikitskaya street the man took four people hostage. However, he threatened to blow up himself (on the neck it was a duct-taped box, it later turned out that it is a model with salt). In the end Petrosyan all released and surrendered to the security forces. As for a motive, investigators are considering the difficult financial situation of the accused and his lack of ability to fulfill the obligations under the credit agreements.

The penal code refers to crimes against the constitutional order and state security, in particular, treason, espionage, encroachment on life state or the public figure, violent seizure of power, armed rebellion, public calls for extremist activities, a diversion.
