Activists purchased advertising space to help people relax.
In London at the station of the city’s subway Clapham Common instead of commercial posters and billboards posted photos with cats. The author of the original idea is the founder of a social project a Glimpse of James Turner, reports BBC News.
Turner stressed that his idea is not intended financial goal is not the promotion of the new series and not an advertisement for a new food for the cats.
According to the publication, in the framework of the project Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (CATS) were brought about 23.1 thousand pounds, by which the volunteers were able to buy advertising space on the metro for two weeks.
According to BBC News, nearly 700 people donated the money to implement ideas. As noted by James Turner, the main objective of this project is to create a space that will help to relax, will give joy and light-heartedness, and it will be free from advertising.
