Ukrainian swimmer Andrey Govorov guaranteed a part in the medal race.
In the preliminary round on 50-metrovke freestyle four-time European champion with a time 21,49 updated record of Ukraine and made it to the semifinals with the first result.
The following Dialects swim swam even faster (of 21.46), sharing second place with American Anthony Ervin. The best result in the semifinal showed the Frenchman Florent Manadhoo (one-21.32).
“Now we need to focus on finals and try to produce an even better result, add in the technique, swim more efficiently. I feel that I can do that.
I was planning to show this result, but happy I will be when I will have a medal. Let’s wait for the finals”, – said the Ukrainian swimmer.
For a medal the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro Andrei Govorov pomeritsya tomorrow at 04:44 Kyiv time.
To support the initiative Govorov failed to Daria Savinoj showed in the semifinal swim in the 200-meter backstroke ninth result. Liubomyr Lemeshko in the race for the 100 meters butterfly semi-finals to qualify could not.
