President Barack Obama will meet with Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi in Washington on 18 October, said White house spokesman Josh Ernest.
“President Obama on 18 October, will hold the White house for a meeting with Prime Minister of Italy Renzi during his official visit,” — said Ernest.
According to him, leaders in a number of bilateral issues will exchange views on the future of Europe, will discuss the climate and the refugee problem in Europe, as well as economic issues. “Italy is one of our strongest and closest allies,” said Ernest.
He added that the Prime Minister of Italy will visit the United States with his wife, the American presidential couple will hold a state dinner in honor of the guests.
