“In order to increase responsibility of parents for the upbringing and maintenance of children proposed to add to article 156 of the Criminal code and article 535 of the administrative code, providing for penalties for failure without good cause from producing activities income for over six months”, — quotes the statement of the Senator in Council of Federation “RIA Novosti”.

As a rule, this category of socially disadvantaged families,” said Boltenko. Such negligent parents regularly goes to the social welfare agencies for financial assistance for children that leads to growth of social dependency.”
“By making the appropriate changes to the criminal code and the administrative code, we will put a barrier to social dependency and increase responsibility of parents for the upbringing and maintenance of children”, — said the Senator.
