For the second consecutive year the Institute of sound design like in the Russian capital the Day sound is a series of interesting and varied lectures and discussions which will be lead by specialists in their field: Directors, sound designers, media artists, musicians and producers. The second Russian Sound Sunday will be held this coming Sunday, August 21, in the cinema “Karo 11 Oktyabr’.
Moscow will host a day sound Sound Sunday
To participate in the events organized by the Institute of sound design and a network of cinemas “Karo, can everyone – participation is free. You only need to pre-book a place. In the first room on Sunday August 21 will be held open discussions about the sound and education in the format of public talk. At 16.30 in the first hall of the cinema “Karo 11 Oktyabr” start a discussion “Sounds of the future”, the theme of which will be movies, music, Internet and interactive. Then at 19.20 in the same room will start next discussion, called “your future Profession” – the participants on the example of the audio-visual industry will discuss the prospects of art education in the format of a quick and creative approach to learning, as well as relevant and in demand professions in the world of sound. The White hall of the cinema “October” will pass lectures, the topics of which will be film, animation, urban studies, sound design and music. At 12.00 a.m. in this hall will host the opening ceremony Sound Sunday and at 12.20 will begin the first lecture on “Right to work” – it will be Alexander Khanin (head of licensing music and video content in Black Star Inc.). Alexander will talk about how to sell your music and sound. At 13.40 all are invited to the lecture on Sound Design – it will act as a leading sound designer, composer and founder of the Institute of sound design-Vasily Filatov. Basil will elaborate on the ten commandments of good sound and will talk about the basics of working with creative material. At 15.00 starts the lecture “Music in cinema” by film composer Yuri poteenko, who wrote the music for the films “Battalion”, “Poddubny”, “Metro” and others. Yuri tells in detail about how to write music for visuals. At 16.20 it will replace the head of the Studio ToonBox Pavel Muntyan his lecture is called “Animation is hard”. Paul will focus on creating sound in the animated projects, as well as working with the voice. At 17.40 guests Sound Sunday waiting for the lecture “Urban planning: cities,” in which associate Professor of the philological faculty of Moscow state University. Lomonosov Andrey Logutov will talk about how the sound of our planet and how they might sound.

From 15.00 to 16.00 on the third floor of the cinema “Karo 11 Oktyabr’ will be another lecture – “History of music”, which lasts only 60 minutes. During this time, the host of “the Function funk” on the radio “Megapolis FM” Anatoly ice will tell about the history of all modern music. Registration for the lecture is already closed, which confirms the increased interest to the second Sound Sunday. Everything else in the cinema “October” on this day will host an exhibition of the iconic synths on which their owners tell and show how to work with this awesome equipment. Sound on Sunday will be interesting not only for adults but also for children, specially for them at 12.00 there will be a children’s area. Young guests will be able to take part in a music quiz and learn how to sound cartoons. Especially for children and their parents at 16.30 will start the master class Sound Sunday Jam, where everyone can learn how musical improvisation.
