Moscow authorities have cancelled the order on transfer of the TFR library building name Alighieri

The Department of culture of Moscow has cancelled the order about transfer of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow, the building of the library named after Dante Alighieri. This was stated by its head, Alexander Kibovsky, reports TASS.

According to him, gradually, the building on the street of Builders, which houses the library, are consolidated for the needs of the Investigative Committee. For the transfer of property decree of the government of Moscow, the official said.

“No such decisions have not. Moreover, the property Department this question was not even discussed,” — said Kibovsky. He claimed that the head of the Central library system (TSBS) of the South-Western district Vadim Talanov “exhibited excessive zeal”, published on 14 April the order for the relocation of the library.

“(The order) for us was also a surprise. On Friday (15 April) went response. On the same day I made the head of CBS to cancel this order”, — said Kibovsky, adding that the head of CBS has been reprimanded for abuse of power and arbitrariness.

“Until there is a consolidated opinion and will not resolve the issues of property character, any action we take will not” — said the head of the Moscow Department of culture.

On 15 April the acting Director of the library Lyudmyla Indyk reported that since may 1, the Moscow city library named after Dante Alighieri stops working. Some of the funds are transported in a room on the street Innovators, some are assigned to other libraries. The building on the street Builders is transmitted to the Investigative Committee of Russia (RCDS).
