German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that there is no reason to lift the sanctions imposed by the EU against the Kremlin, as Moscow has not fulfilled all its obligations under the Minsk agreements.
According to her, the seizure of Crimea and supporting terrorists in Eastern Ukraine, Russia has caused a serious crisis that can not remain unanswered.
“Europe should react to this violation of basic principles”, – said the head of Germany.
Merkel also added that she and French President Francois Hollande are working “struggling” to achieve implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“This remains the criteria for future sanctions,” she said.
