Armenia has banned the sale of certain types of weapons after capture of a building of a regiment of patrol-guard service of the police in Yerevan. On Tuesday, August 2, reports “Interfax” citing a source in law enforcement bodies of the Republic.

“Arms sales under control. Certain weapons were banned for sale. Restriction continues until”, — quotes Agency the words of the interlocutor.

As specified a source in law enforcement bodies, “undertaken with persons entitled to possession of weapons, as well as representatives of the Union of hunters”.

On 1 August the head of the opposition movement “Arise, Armenia,” Andreas Ghukasyan was charged with organizing and participation in mass disorders in Yerevan. He was arrested. Earlier in the day, the national security Service (NSS) of Armenia announced the arrest and arrest 47 people as part of an investigation of capture of a building of a regiment of PPP in the Republic’s capital.

The operation for the liberation of the building was completed July 31. All members of an armed group “Sasna tsrer” surrendered to authorities.

Police in Yerevan seized on July 17. During the attack killed police Colonel, three law enforcement officers were injured. Members of the “Sasna tsrer” demanded the resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan and the release of the leader of the radical opposition movement in Armenia Zhirayr Sefilyan, who was arrested in late June on charges of illegal possession of weapons.
