Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul commented on the possibility of supplying Ukraine with lethal weaponry in case of a victory on presidential election of the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. This McFaul said in an interview with “Apostrophe”.
McFaul said that if Clinton becomes U.S. President, Washington will formally revise entire foreign policy, including issues of Russia and Ukraine.
Also, the ex-diplomat is sure that the issue of supply of lethal weapons Ukraine will be raised, but he doesn’t know how the issue will be resolved.
He added that the team of President Barack Obama are actively discussing this issue, however he has decided not to supply lethal weapons Ukraine.
Earlier, former NATO Secretary General, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that the West will give Kiev lethal weapons if Russia will destabilize Eastern Ukraine.
