Matheus left the “Dnepr”

Unofficial site of “Dnepr” confirmed the departure of Matheus – Brazilian midfielder leaves the team in free agent status. Mateus contract with Dnipro expires on the first of July – the new agreement footballer in connection with heavy financial position of Dnipro did not sign.

Serious interest in Semin has shown Shakhtar, but the Brazilian decided to pursue a career in the homeland. The portal “Sport.ua” confirms departure of Matheus in Brazil, without specifying exactly which club will be the former leader of the “Dnepr”.

Mateus played in Dnipro since January 2011. In all competitions the former leader of Braga played 154 matches (48 goals and 30 assists). In the last season of the Brazilian in 23 matches of the championship of Ukraine scored 16 points (7+9) according to goal+assist system, as well as scoring twice in the group stage of the Europa League.

It is expected that the majority of Ukrainian players for next season will remain in the “Dnepr”. The team has agreed to a debt restructuring. The President of “Dnepr” Igor Kolomoisky in one to two years promises to repay debts to the team and the coaching staff.
