The newly made world champion in two weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko for the first time was in the top 10 rating of the best boxers in the world according to the magazine “The Ring”.
The top 10 Lomachenko broke after a recent impressive victory over Roman Martinez – the former world champion under version WBO in the first lightweight champion Ukrainian effectively knocked out in the fifth round. Thus, the double Olympic champion has updated the record among professionals, becoming world champion in two weight classes after just seven fights.
Lomachenko became the third Ukrainian boxer ever to fall in the top 10 rating of the best boxers in the world regardless of weight class. Earlier Vladimir Klitschko was in the rating of second place, while his brother Vitali has closed the top 10.
