A healthy and vigorous baby at birth was 14.3 cm in length and weighed 151 grams, whereas the average weight of a Panda at birth is 120-130 grams. Now, after a month, the little giant Panda has grown already up to 38 cm and weighs 1497 grams.
Zoo visitors were asked to suggest names for the baby, and has already received more than ten thousand sentences. The final name will be announced on 9 September.
Although the youngster has shown excellent results, zoologists do not want to risk it and have yet to show the Panda visitors. “We need to monitor the situation before the baby can meet with visitors, because go-Go is very worried for him. We need to make sure she was emotionally prepared to allow your baby to meet people,” said the Director of the division for the management of zoo animals Min Zingo.
