The CPS has suspended the Lipetsk region in the work of Lev-tolstovskiy dairy plant, known in media as the producer of burning cheese. Unscheduled inspection showed that the enterprise purchased low-quality raw materials. On Wednesday, June 15, reported on the Agency’s website.
“A study of selected manufacturing products showed that the actual content in products of plant sterols (non-dairy fat) was 100 percent, which is a violation of the requirements of technical regulations and inconsistent with the information stated on the packaging,” — said in a press release. Raw material supplier — the company “Megatorg, OOO (Tula oblast) — not detected at the stated address, as the CPS has been informed by law enforcement agencies.
On 9 June it was reported that the Prosecutor’s office of the Lipetsk region did not consider it necessary to draw Lev-tolstovskiy plant responsible because curd production was sold not in its original form: products were purchased by contractors, and then bred her. In fact, the company stated that curd pasta consists of substitute of milk fat, the use of which is permitted.
The product, which the press called “burning cheese”, can be purchased at the mobile shop near the metro station “international” in Saint-Petersburg.
