Scientists from the University of Canterbury conducted a study last produced kits of designers of the famous brand LEGO and accused the developers in creating a more violent game than those sold 10 years ago. They actively present the topic of violence and weapons.
After collecting the data from 1978 to 2014, scientists noted that the level of violence in the LEGO sets have increased by 19%, and nowadays about 40% of the sets created with the theme of violence and at least 30% of products have at least one weapons.
Despite the fact that the developers of the company indicate that their toys are of a humorous subtext in the use of force, the research of experts indicates the opposite effect. This is evident in the level of damage that is being done by the designer during the games – in many scenarios, the child is invited to capture the castle or to destroy the base.
