Lavrov has rejected the idea of a black list of Ukrainian artists

Лавров отверг идею о черном списке украинских артистов

The Russian foreign Ministry believes inexpedient the creation of black lists of the Ukrainian cultural figures as a mirror answer to Kiev. This is stated in the document signed by the head of the Ministry Sergey Lavrov at the request of the deputies from the liberal democratic party, who proposed to ban entry to Russian actor Vladimir Zelensky, reports on Monday, may 23, RIA Novosti.

“We believe that any public discussion, aimed at the politicization of the sphere of culture, will not bring positive results”, — quotes Agency the quote from the response Lavrov. The head of foreign Ministry noted that “ambiguous statements Zelensky on the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine” must be taken into account in the organization of cultural projects on the territory of Russia.

In February deputies from LDPR Alexander Kurdyumov and Mikhail Degtyarev sent to the foreign Ministry a letter asking them to ban entry for Ukrainian actor Zelensky. Actor, starred in the Russian film “8 best dates”, supports the operation of Kiev in the Donbass.

In Ukraine there is a blacklist of 83 Russian cultural figures. The list includes, in particular, Oleg Gazmanov, Iosif Kobzon, Alexander Rosenbaum, Julia Chicherin, Sergey Penkin. According to Kiev, these artists represent a threat to national security of Ukraine.
