The region has overtaken even Moscow.
The public debt of the Krasnodar region is growing inexorably. In the last month alone, the region increased its obligations to creditors on 5 billion roubles. On March 1, the national debt of the Kuban exceeded 150,255 billion.
On this indicator the edge has overtaken Moscow, the national debt which is 141,785 billion rubles, and reached an absolute “anti-leader” among the regions of Russia.
The amount of borrowings, accumulated only one Krasnodar region, comparable in volume with the national debt of the whole far Eastern Federal district (on March 1, he made 155,1 billion).
The main part of the debt of the Krasnodar region is of budgetary credits attracted from other budgets of the budgetary system of the Russian Federation, almost half of the total amount or 71,271 billion. Slightly less — 59,113 billion is loans obtained from foreign banks, credit institutions and international financial organizations. Note that interest rates in such credit institutions are usually quite high. For government securities and state guarantees of the subject of the Russian Federation accounted for more than 19.8 billion rubles.
Add that to the Kuban accounts for more than half of the total public debt of regions of the southern Federal district, which exceeded 275,78 billion.
