German coach Jurgen Klopp has received credit of trust from the leadership of the English giants.
The official website of “Liverpool” informs about prolongation of the contract with head coach Jurgen Klopp. According to press reports, the former coach of Borussia Dortmund has signed a contract until 2022. Past Klopp’s agreement with Liverpool was due to expire in 2018, and included the possibility of automatic contract renewal for another season.
“We are very excited to be at the beginning of the adventure, but we already have an incredible bond with Liverpool, it’s amazing. We have to work hard and achieve much, and we hope to do this because we, like all players, want to become the best team in the world,” commented Klopp signing a new contract with Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp took the “Red” in October last year, succeeding to the post of head coach Brendan Rodgers, sacked for poor results. The German led Liverpool to the Europa League final (lost to Sevilla) and League Cup (vs Manchester city), and in the Premier League, Liverpool finished in eighth position.
“Liverpool” in the offseason signed three rookies – Joel Matip, of Loris Karius and Sadio mane.
