Today I decided to prepare for you a selection of several individuals who left a mark in the history of the murder of various political figures.
Ramon Mercader
Soviet intelligence for a long time, were preparing an attempt on Trotsky. And Trotsky knew about it. In 1938, the year he died 32-year-old son Leon Sedov Trotsky. After that, his caution turned into a real paranoia, but despite that, Ramona had managed to infiltrate the inner circle of “the main enemy of the Soviet Union” and strike that fatal blow with an ice pick.
Until recently, all was going according to plan. Ramon had to deal with Trotsky and hide, but one stroke of the ax proved insufficient. The victim managed to grab the killer by the leg, and later joined the guard. In 1940, the Spaniard went to prison, where he spent all his time entirely 20 years. In Moscow Mercader got everything: order, car, apartment, cottage.
John Jairo Velasquez
At the time, John Jairo Velasquez (nicknamed Popeye) confessed that he personally killed 300 people and in the 80-90-ies were involved in approximately 3 thousand murders. He has also collaborated with the famous Colombian drug Lord Pablo Escobar.
The most famous of his murder – the presidential candidate of Colombia, Luis Carlos Galan in 1989, which was organized by former Minister of justice Alberto Santofimio. Galan was considered the favorite in the election. He took a radical stance on the drug cartels, who bring considerable income to the Colombian mafia.
Lee Harvey Oswald
He is the only official suspect in the murder of American President John F. Kennedy. Oswald, a former U.S. marine, for some time lived in the Soviet Union. Originally he was arrested for killing a COP. Oswald denied his involvement in both murders. Two days later, during a transfer from police headquarters to County jail, Oswald was shot by nightclub owner Jack ruby.
Pyotr Zakharovich Yermakov
He was one of the direct participants in the execution of Nicholas II and his family and burying the dead. Ermakova called “one of the most evil members of the Ipatiev night”. He confirmed his involvement in the murder: “I gave a shot at him at close range, he fell from…”.
One of the guards recalled the execution of Nicholas II and his family:

François Ravaillac
Francois Ravaillac, the killer of the king of France Henry IV. He jumped into the carriage of the king and struck him the first blow with a knife. Henry still managed to turn to someone sitting next to the Governor of Paris, to Montbazon and shout that he was wounded. After that, Henry got a second shot in the chest and he died.
