The decisive match of the main club tournament in the world in season 2017-2018 will take place in Kiev on NSK “Olympic”.
“The Champions League final 2018 will take place in Ukraine! Only UEFA took the decision on holding the final match of the Champions League in 2018 in Kiev. This is great news for all of us, and especially for the Ukrainian fans. I am convinced that we will hold the final at the highest level”, – wrote the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on his page on “Facebook”.
The only competitor of Kiev in the fight for the final of the Champions League was not yet commissioned a new stadium Atletico Madrid.
For the first time Ukraine will host the final of a major UEFA tournament. Earlier, the country successfully coped with the holding of Euro-2012 (Kyiv, Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv), and adopted in 2009 the European championship among young men till 19 years old (Donetsk, Mariupol).
Eastern Europe in the second time will host the Champions League final in 2008-m to year in Moscow for the trophy competed “Manchester United” and “Chelsea”. The match ended with the victory of the Red devils on penalties.
The final of the Champions League season 2017-2018 presumably will be held in the first half of may, since 14 June starts the world championship on football.
