Kiev appealed to “Gazprom” and its partners in the EU with the requirement to obtain approval for the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream — 2”.
With the corresponding statement to the participants of the project on Friday appealed to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).
“If concerted actions lead or can lead to prevention, elimination or restriction of competition, in accordance with paragraph 5 of article 10 of the law on protection of economic competition, such concerted actions are prohibited to receive in the prescribed manner a permit from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine”.
The creation of such an entity, according to Ukrainian laws, “says concentrations (dominant market position)”, the statement says.
The Committee argues that the project participants should refrain from any actions that lead to restriction of competition in Ukraine.
“In connection with the above, as well as to prevent violations of the Ukrainian legislation proposed to the participants of the project “Northern stream — 2″ refer to the ACU with an appropriate statement.”
