Kazakhstan has introduced the chemical castration of pedophiles

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts on the protection of the rights of the child”, introducing chemical castration of pedophiles.

This document is aimed at improving the system of protection of children’s rights, reported on Thursday a press-service of the head of state.

The act amends the criminal, Criminal procedure code, the administrative offences Code and the Code on people’s health and healthcare system related, including increasing the penalty against persons who have committed crimes against sexual inviolability of minors.

It has also been the norm of “compulsory measure of medical character in the form of chemical castration of pedophiles”.

Earlier, Senator Byrganym Aitimova explained to journalists that chemical castration will be applied as a temporary measure in the form of a one-time shot. “This does not mean that the injection did, and it’s this left, absolutely not,” she said.

Such injections will be applied only after the court decision.

Earlier in Seoul for the first time convicted pedophile, involving chemical castration.
