American actor Jared Leto will play the lead role in the Thriller “the Outsider”, according to Variety. The film production will start in the fall.
The film will happen in Japan after the Second world war. Summer will play an American soldier, captured and released at will by his cellmate-the Yakuza. Wanting to thank the friend for rescue, an American becomes involved in the dangerous world of Japanese gangsters.
Director of the film made Martin Zandvliet (“Funny people,” “Applause”). Screenplay written by Andrew Baldwin, known for his work on the Thriller “Bastille Day”.
Jared Leto — frontman of 30 Seconds To Mars and actor who played in such films as “Requiem for a dream” and “Mr. Nobody”. In 2014 Summer, received the “Oscar” in the category “Best supporting actor” for his role in the film “Dallas buyers club”. In August on the screens is based on the comic book publisher DC Comics film “suicide Squad” in which Summer plays the villain Joker.
