The Syrian opposition, despite the introduction of the ceasefire regime, continues to receive U.S. weapons and ammunition. This writes Jane’s Defense Weekly, citing documents published in the American system of public procurement Federal Business Opportunities.
As specifies the edition, for the past six months, the American government placed two orders to transport “military cargo containing explosives” from Eastern Europe: one 3 November 2015 and the second on 5 February 2016.
The first application was issued on November 19, the company Transatlantic Lines, a cargo ship Geysir was released on 5 December from Constanta (Romania) to Aqaba (Jordan). The cargo consisted of 81 of the container (the total weight of 994 tons), and half had to be unloaded at Aqaba, and the other on the basis of Turkish Agalar (near Tasucu).

In the list of weapons — machine guns, designated in the category as “AK-47” (probably different clones of a 7.62-mm Kalashnikov assault rifle), machine guns DShK and PKM, and the RPG-7.
