The Italian Parliament did not support the resolution on cancellation of sanctions against Russia. About this Facebook said the Ukrainian Ambassador to Italy Yevhen Perelygin.

“In the Italian Parliament failed another attempt of some parties to adopt a resolution on cancellation of sanctions against Russia…the Members of the chamber of deputies did not support the draft resolution of opposition political force, the five star Movement, which calls on the government of Italy on “the immediate lifting of sanctions against Russia,” wrote the Ambassador.

According to him, instead of the resolution the Chamber of deputies of Italy on 3 August adopted a document calling for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements with the aim of ensuring the stability of Ukraine.

“The Italian Parliament in its resolution entitled “directions of the European and of Italy’s foreign policy in the context of recent events in the world” recommends the government to take measures to ensure the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which should be the main prerequisite for the possible restoration of normal economic relations between Italy and Russia”, – he added.

This resolution was supported by the deputies of the “Democratic party”, “the New right, and some members of the group “Miscellaneous”.
