The Iranian foreign Ministry expressed concern about the continued operation of Turkey in Syria, demanding from the Turkish authorities to suspend it.
“The fight against terrorism and increasing security in the region are immutable and an important staple in the foreign policy the peace-loving countries. It can not serve as the basis for the violation of the territorial integrity and military operations in another country without the consent of the Central government…”, – said the representative of the foreign Ministry of Iran Bahram qasemi.
He also noted that the ongoing Turkish operation in Syria complicates the regional situation.
“The scale of the clashes in Northern Syria leads to murder innocent civilians. It is necessary that Turkish troops stopped military actions in Syria,” said qasemi.
Turkey’s army last week began an operation against ISIS (banned in Russia) in the nearby town Dzharablus in the North of Syria with the participation of the Syrian opposition and force the international coalition. Syrian authorities have called Turkey’s actions a violation of sovereignty.
