In the building of Zaporizhzhya city Council Tuesday, February 19, the day of the vote for the recognition of Russia an aggressor collapsed part of the ceiling. It is reported by Z-city.
The publication cites the opinion of witnesses that collapsed on the third floor a piece of plaster was big enough to be a danger to those present in the building.
Earlier on Friday the city Council unanimously voted for recognition of Russia’s actions in Ukraine an act of aggression. The speaker of city Parliament Vladimir Buryak, thanked the deputies for support of the decision. The MPs also voted for the dismantling of the Zaporozhye monuments to Lenin, Dzerzhinsky and Ordzhonikidze.
February 3, the Odessa city Council 45 votes out of 63 voted for recognition of Russia’s actions in Ukraine an act of aggression.
In December 2015 Zaporizhzhya city Council refused to vote for the recognition of Russia as an aggressor state, as well as for recognizing the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics terrorist organizations. Then the question was not even included in the agenda.
In July 2015 the deputies of Kharkiv city Council on the third try recognized Russia as an aggressor state, having supported the relevant resolution of the Verkhovna Rada. Parliament decision condemning the actions of Moscow was made in January of 2015.
Kiev and some Western countries regularly accuse the Kremlin of involvement in the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine. Moscow these accusations traditionally rejects, citing a lack of evidence.
