Member of Parliament Victoria syumar made a proposal to hold a nationwide referendum on the future of Donbass.
While last week another member said about the need to recognize the special status of the Donbass republics.
“We need to bring this issue to a referendum, and further, based on the will of the people, to build policy on these territories”, – she said on the air “112 Ukraine”, answering a question about whether Kiev continue to fight for the uncontrolled regions. The MP noted that to return the Donbass, the Ukrainian authorities will not be able for at least the next five years. According to her, Kiev will have to invest huge resources in these regions. In addition, according to her, the local population hates Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that last week the Verkhovna Rada Deputy from the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Leonid Kozachenko expressed confidence that the Ukrainian Parliament will adopt a bill to provide the Donbass special status.
According to him, Kiev should adopt an Amnesty for militias, and grant the republics the opportunity to have their police and Parliament.
About a month ago the Deputy of Hope Savchenko has also proposed to hold in Ukraine a referendum on decentralization and federalization of Ukraine.
