Police have confirmed that a child shot himself.
Five-year-old shot himself in the us city of Detroit from the gun found under his pillow at grandma’s house, and from the received wounds died on the way to the hospital.
The incident occurred Wednesday morning.
“The girl remained in her grandmother’s house, located in the northwestern part of Detroit, where he found the gun under the pillow in the bedroom of her grandmother”, – told the officer of public relations of the local authorities.
At that moment in the house there were other children – one-year-old brother of the girl and another 3-year-old child living in the neighborhood. As reported by law enforcement agencies, they were not injured.
Adults – grandparents girl during the incident was in the kitchen. The police confirmed that the child shot itself.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her death at the time of arrival.
Police did not disclose details of the incident while the investigation continues. According to the results, the district attorney must decide whether initiated arrests, said local authorities.
