In the U.S. Congress proposed to create a new Federal Agency to combat “produced by Russia and China propaganda” that reduce the global influence of the United States.
The proposal came from a member of Congress Adam Kitzinger, reports the Washington Examiner. “Russia is spewing their misinformation, undermining the interests of the United States in Ukraine, and contributes to the spread of instability in some countries”, — said Kittinger.
— “The establishment of an appropriate Agency will give US a unique opportunity to direct a powerful stream of truth, ensuring global stability and preventing conflicts”.
According to policy, the Center for the analysis of information and response at the State Department will be reviewing the information war and “to repel” foreign propaganda.
